T. F. G. C. Landscape Design Consultants Council In April at the Landscape Design Meeting which was held at the TFGC Convention in Memphis, the proposed By-laws were discussed, revised and approved by the Landscape Design Consultants attending the meeting. Tennessee now has a Landscape Design Consultants Council. The By-laws are available for viewing/download below. The TFGC Landscape Design Consultants Council will have their first “get together” on August 30th, 2011 at The University of Tennessee, Knoxville at the Ellington Plant Science Building. The “get together” will start at 11:30 A.M. and last until 3:30 P.M. This will enable you to join the students in class, and for lunch, and on an evaluating tour of the UT Gardens in Knoxville. Tom Stephens (who wrote Chapter 31 in the NGC book “Stewards of the Land” is going to be one of our instructors for Course IV, Series 6 of our Landscape Design Course. I thought that this was a once in a lifetime opportunity to experience the actual author presenting his Chapter; Evaluating the Landscape Designs of Residential, Public, and business Property. Since evaluating landscape is one of the pleasures of being a Consultant, this topic should be of great interest to each of us. We will have our first “official” meeting at the next TFGC 2012 Convention. Some Provisional Council members will be attending this Course, but if you are not, then I am extending an invitation to all Accredited and Emeritus Landscape Design Consultants to come and join us. You may bring your own lunch or order a lunch (before August 8,2011) for $10.00 from: Sandi Eichenberger
